An event app for 100 people — with a 98% adoption rate.

 

Interior Architects is a commercial interior design firm with approximately 500 employees across 18 locations. Each year, the company convenes its leadership team for an internal summit - and for the first time, the event needed a dedicated app to keep 90–100 attendees informed, engaged, and connected throughout.

Role

Built and managed the full app experience: developed all speaker and attendee profiles (sourcing headshots, titles, and biographical details), built out schedules, maps, and downloadable materials, and provided live support for real-time schedule and speaker updates during the event. Applied the event's visual identity — which I also developed — consistently across the app to create a seamless experience matching signage, presentations, and all physical collateral. Ran an awareness campaign ahead of the event to drive downloads before attendees arrived. The app has since become a recurring part of the annual event.

 

Outcome

98% of attendees adopted the app — a remarkable number for a first-time deployment, and a direct result of both the awareness campaign and an experience polished enough that people actually wanted to use it.
